Passage: 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Because of sin from the moment we are born we begin to fade away. This message will help you look beyond our momentary inflictions to the glorious and eternal things to come.

Passage: Deuteronomy 6:1-9
The greatest thing we can do for our kids is to make sure they know God in Jesus and love him.
This is what God wanted for his people in the Old Testament as they were about to enter the land God had promised to them. They are to about to go into the ‘Land’ and Moses their leader gives a sermon. He gives God’s people some important instructions. God knows that they could easily be taken away from him by the prosperity of the land or the gods of the other nations in the land.
Even before I came to Lakeshore I have been daydreaming about what God might do on the Sunshine Coast through His church we call Lakeshore. Dreaming about how God would build on what he has been doing for many years before. The church is central to God’s plan. His people.
When Jesus left the earth what was his plan to continue his work on earth? At the end of the Gospels and the beginning of Acts Jesus take us into a stadium for the launch of this plan for the universe. The ground is in darkness. The big lights come on and what is before us? His 11 disciples. Men who were denying Jesus what would seem like only moments before. But this God plan for the world. So now we as the church of Jesus are the plan of God to make Jesus known.
Message preached by Andrew Carruthers of Salt Baptist church in Perigean.
In Matt 6:9-13 & Luke 11:2-4 we see recorded what is commonly referred to as the Lords prayer. I may suggest a better description is the disciples prayer. Because in these passages jesus entrusts to his disciples a pattern of prayer. Pray in this manner he instructs them.
Matt 6:7 “And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. 9 Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.
Here in John 17 we have the real ‘Lords prayer’, what did Jesus pray.
