Men’s Training Event is a Bible teaching weekend for men. It’s a great opportunity to get away with men from your own church, and a bunch of men from other churches as well.

The Program

Friday 11th 6:30pm – Registration

8:00pm – Ten things my wife hates about me – Phil Campbell

Saturday 12th 7:15am – Breakfast

8:30am – Session 1 – THE Sacrificial Man – Richard Chin

10:15am – Live Demonstration – how to prepare and barbeque a great steak

11:15am – Session 2 – The Compelling Sacrifice – Richard Chin

12:45pm – BBQ Lunch

2:00pm – Session 3 – The Sacrificial Man

3:30pm – Wrap up and Finish

The Speakers

Richard Chin is married to Bronwyn and they have four growing children. He is a Malaysian born Chinese Aussie, who loves God, family, and Asian food (in that order!). He serves as the National Director of the Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students. Based at Wollongong, he also serves as a University Chaplain.
Phil Campbell is part of the ministry team at Mitchelton Presbyterian Church. He’s married to Louise, and they have four kids ranging in age from 18 to 25. Phil’s current hobbies include trying to avoid caffeine, and trying to keep fit.
Dan Bigg knows a thing or two about great steaks! Dan worked for 10 years as a butcher. He is coming to share trade secrets about beef and the contents of sausages. He will ‘sacrifice’ / break down a side of beef into its prime cuts adn talk through knives, equipment and cooking a great steak.

Full time registration is $75. Concession (students/pensioners/unemployed) $65. And Saturday only registration is $55.

What to bring

The registration cost includes accommodation, supper on Friday night, breakfast, morning and afternoon tea, and lunch on Saturday, and conference materials. You will need to have your own dinner on Friday night.

Please bring your own pillow, sheets and blankets (or a sleeping bag). Of course you’ll need your Bible.

You may like to come prepared to play some sport, go for a bush-walk, or have a coffee in Tamborine.
