Where a man belongs
L-T Hopper on Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

“Where a man belongs is on his knees beside his wife, leading in prayer. Where a man belongs is at the bedside of his children, leading in devotion and prayer. Where a man belongs is in the driver’s seat, leading his family to the house of God. Where a man belongs is up early and alone with God, seeking vision and direction for the family. Men, I challenge you in the name of Jesus Christ our King, be where you belong!” John Piper

    Great Quote. Another helpful quote from Piper on the manhood is;

    “At the heart of mature masculinity is a sense of benevolent responsibility to lead, provide for and protect women in ways appropriate to a man’s differeing relationships.”

    I like this quote as it ladens us blokes not only with the the responsibility to watch out and care for our own wives and families but also for the other women in our lives “appropriate to our differing relationships with them”

    I like how God put it in Micah 6:8; “…what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God”

    For Christs’ Renown,
    Shane.
